Grade point average is a credit-weighted mean, not a plain average: courses worth more credits count more. For each course enter its grade point (for example 4.0 for an A, 3.7 for an A−, or a percentage / raw score if your school uses one) and the number of credit hours. The tool multiplies each grade point by its credits, adds those products up, and divides by the total credits — GPA = Σ(point × credit) / Σ(credit). A course with zero or blank credits is ignored, so it never distorts the result.
